  1. The main character in the beginning of the story, he was shy and tried so hard to kiss the coaches butt. But in the end,he wasnt shy anymore, and he went against what his coach said, because he felt it was right. Also in the beginning Miles was scared to talk to girls, and was nervous about talking to Lucia because he liked her. But in the end he wasnt scared talking to her, and he got with her. Him and Lucia kissed at the end of the novel. So i feel that Miles had a drastic change from who he was in the beginning of the story,to the end.

  2. In the beginning of the novel miles is a hard head guy thats problems with his dad and he has a hard time talking to girls. But then he gets help from his new friends to become a more outgoing person that doesnt care if he plays or not in the football game.

  3. In the beginning of the book, Miles was the stud football player and and that was all he thought about. By the end of the book, Miles wasn't playing b/c the head coach got sick so a new coach came that Miles didn't like. Now that he doesn't play, he focuses more on his girlfriend than anything else.

  5. @Jesus-I agree with your post.In the beginning Miles all he cared about was football, and what his dad thought of his playing. But when he met his new friends he didnt really care about any of that. His friends gave him a new outlook of life.I feel that before Miles met his new friends,he really didnt have nothing in life but football.so i think thats why he stressed about it so much, because he didnt have anything else, and he didnt want to loose it.But after he met his new friends,he knew realized there was more to life than stressing out about football.

  6. @Erick- Miles didn't listen to the coaches very much in the beginning of the book either. The first chapter talked about how Miles had to run in practice b/c he wasn't catching the ball the way Stahl wanted him to. But how he was around girls changed a lot. At the end, he wasn't such a baby when it came to talking to Lucia.
