  2. The author wrote this book to show that me players get pushed into drugs to get bigger and stronger. But in this on novel miles stays alway from the drugs and he gets better at playing football without the drugs.

  3. I think that the author wrote this book to show athletes that drugs is not the answer. Using steriods doesn't make you a better player. Miles is smart enough not to do steriods and that makes him smarter than his buddies who did use them.

  4. @pat.... your right bro many players think that drugs can make a player better but its not right. They use them just to get better in a short time, but they never think about the trouble they can get in.

  5. @Jesus-yeah your right.A lot of football players get pushed to doing steriods because they want to get bigger.Football is a sport that if your small, its harder for you to succeed. But its still not a good excuse to turn to using steriods.I feel that if you want to get bigger and stronger,do it the old fashion way,by lifting weights and actually working hard to get stronger and bigger. So i feel that even though Miles had access to the steriods,i feel he ,made an excellent decision not to use them.So even though the coach told Miles in his last game that he wasnt going to play anymore,i still feel that Mies is a winner, and i think he knows that because he was happy at the end.

  6. @erick- I agree with what you said about having choices. People always have to make choices in life. And they have to live with the decisions they make. The choices Miles made weren't always the best, but the teaches the readers that you have to make the best of everything. To live life to the fullest even when it life isn't going your way.

  7. I think the author wrote this book because he wants to show how some teens have it bad, but they always have choices. The message he wanted to sent is that even though you want to make some choices that are bad because you feel it’s right, some choices seem to be the right thing to do at the end. What you can learn from this book is that, even though you have it bad, you can always make the right choice.
