When you read again, what do you hope will happen in the story or to the characters? Why do you hope for this to happen? Explain.

  1. The sentence that grabbed my attention was "I live on normal avenue but i guess normal is different to different folks." I chose this sentence because a lot of people think other nieghborhoods are not normal but they're normal to the people that live there. For example in the movie Hoop Dreams the two boys have to travel to a fancy suburb to go to school from the Robert Taylor Homes. Which makes a lot of people at the school think badly of them.

  2. The sentance that stuck out to me was "In this neighborhood, If you go out at night, you might get yourself shot." It stuck out the most to me because i think that in a lot places, this is true regardless if you are a gang member or not.

  3. I hope the police find Yummy so they can help the kid get on track. He is very young and has a lot to live for. I believe he can do something positive in his life. Thats why i hope the police find Yummy.

  5. I hope that yummy turns himself in. The reason i hope for that is because it would be easier for him and his family, but if he keeps running from the cops they're going to put more time on his case.
