Thirteen Reasons Why: a novel by Jay Asher

Question #2:
We are sometimes pulled toward one or two characters in the story. We identify with them or feel sympathy for them.

Which characters do you identify with in the book AND why do you identify with them?

  2. I identify myself with Clay Jensen because he is so fixated on learning his cause that lead to her death. I believe I am most like Clay because in ways we are alike. He sees the real in people, and the good or bad. Clay is capable of doing so much, yet he tries so little. He is a great kid too focused on his own world to realize the one that goes on outside him. This is why I identify myself with Clay Jensen.

  4. I identify myself with Clay because i also want to know what he did to Hannah, that he received the tapes. I also identify myself with Clay because i believe he is a humble guy and i would also act like him if i received the tapes.

  5. @ Cesar- I agree with you about Clay, mostly because its about him hearing the tapes so you will most likely know more about him. I also agree that he sees the good in people because of how he comments on Hannah when he listens to the tapes
