Sometimes when we read, certain words or phrases stand out. Maybe they are words or phrases that make an impression because of their sound, or maybe the meaning strikes us.

Share one word, sentence or phrase that stands out to you AND explains why you chose this word, sentence or phrase.
The sentence that stood out to me the most is "Ricky D'Amico would care if I spilled a beer on her", because Ricky did not really like Angel. Angel was worried about what she wonders if she would invite her to her party. Angel feels scared of Ricky because she's papular and can do things other kids can't. Angel feeling lonley that she might not be invited to Rickey's Party. I can relate to this because I know how it felt to be afraid of people.
ReplyDeleteThe phrase that stood out the most to me was "who is so smart that it scares boys , but who is so pretty and perky, no one ever leaves her out of anything". Why? Because its true to me boys shouldnt be scared of girls who are smart and judge them and who likes a pretty and perky person who only loves gossip. Boys shouldnt care about the looks everyone deserves a chance.
ReplyDeleteThe phrase that stood out to me the most is when angel said Karin gives me a big hug the kind of strong full-body hug best friends give each other even if they just saw each other yesterday, i like this phrase because it reminds of me and my best friend :)

ReplyDelete@ Eileen best friends are the best they will always have your back. this also reminds me of me and my best friend you always have to have someone to lean on 24/7 either when you feeling lonely, depressed, mad,happy or something exciting happen to you. you need a bff to tell that to :)<3
ReplyDeleteThe phrase that stood out to me the most is "most people are so scared of being rejected." This can sometimes happen in high school with many teenagers - they get rejected by popular kids and they hang-out with the wrong people because they dont want to feel isolated from everyone else.. :D
