Project #7: Answer the following question: Why do you think the author wrote this book? Is there a message in the story? What is it? What if anything, can be learned from this novel? * Respond to one other post.
I feel the author wrote this book because he wanted to send a message to all teens that joining a gang is dangerous. That you can learn a lot from Yummys life. You can end up dead if get into the wrong thing. That joining a gang wont get you anywhere in life. That is the message i get from the book Yummy.
I feel that the author wrote this book because he wanted to reach out to teens and make them realize that being in a gang is bad and it just messes up you life and being in a gang can cost your life and it gets you into nothing but trouble. That is why I feel thats the reason why the author wrote the book.
@ Jose- I agree with you because being in a gang is dangerous and no positives come out of it and it really won't get you no where in life and you will look like a loser.
I think that the auther wrote this book to send out a message that gangs aren't a place to turn to. The auther wanted to tell people that any bad mistake you make could change your life for the rest of your life. I think that the auther wanted people to learn from Yummy's mistakes & realize that anyone could end up the way yummy did.
