Question #1:
Sometimes when we read, certain words or phrases stand out. Maybe they are words or phrases that make an impression because of their sound, or maybe the meaning strikes us.
Sometimes we find words or expressions we do not understand.
Share one word, sentence or phrase that stands out to you AND explains why you chose this word, sentence or phrase.
A sentence that stood out to me is when coach Sepolski says to Mile "You're a junior now; I expect some leadership out of you." i chose this because i feel that the coach is putting pressure on Mile to do good, and that might get Miles to do things to get him better.
ReplyDeleteThe phrase that stuck out to me the most is "Heads up! Dig! Dig!" My baseball coaches always yell this at me. Depending on the coach, I react differently. If I like my coach, I push myself to work harder. But if I don't like him, I, usually, don't listen.
ReplyDelete@Erick- I agree. I think Miles's coach is putting pressure on him to make him push himself to be the best he could be.
ReplyDeleteThe phrase that i picked is...."Thumbs in, grab and go!, coach stahl hollers"... Man coachs love to do this just to get players to play at their full potential. I had times where my coach would push me to play harder.
ReplyDelete@Pat... i agree. sometimes the coach can push a player to much where a player just doesn't even listen anymore.
ReplyDelete@Jesus- i agree. Couches love doing that during football.it gets annoying, but they do it to get you better. and if no one is pushing you, you really never preform at your highest potential, because you know theres not going to be someone yelling at you after
